100 Happy Days — Week 1

Well, I sure picked a hard week to start the 100 Happy Days challenge! But that's the challenge, right? to find something that makes you happy even though you're stressed out the door, have an extra heavy work load, and a dead treadmill....

Day 1: home.
After a crazy long day, coming home and crawling into bed was pure happiness.

Day 2: a letter from a friend I hadn't heard from in a very long time!
It was wonderful to find such a sweet note in the mail, and to know that she was ok.

Day 3: having awesome texts waiting for me when I get off work.
Sara "attexts" me all the time. I can always count on her to make me laugh.

Day 4: signs of spring.
Winter is still my favorite season, but I'm looking forward to sunny days and milder weather.

Day 5: reading.
With another long day crossed off the calendar, my bed and a book were an excellent way to unwind.

Day 6: SUSHI!!
Sara and I spent Saturday shopping, laughing, shopping, drinking coffee, shopping, getting more coffee, and finally capped off the day with sushi. The perfect Saturday? Indeed.

Day 7: protein plate for lunch.
Think of it as a DIY Starbucks Protein Box.....minus the box.

On to week two!!

My (Extended) Weekend in Photos

had a five-day weekend, because of snow and Presidents' Day, and was stuck in the house for a couple of days, but here some photos I took when I could.

The weekend started early with snow days on Thursday and Friday.

So what else does a girl do when she's stuck inside the house? She bakes 4 cans of cinnamon rolls.

It was nice to get out of the house and get some errands out of the way (and of course get a macchiato).

I picked up these Huggable Hangers. I've been meaning to pick these up, but never got around to it. Oh. My. Gosh. I love them. I need tons more, but my closet is slowly coming together.

Blog meeting!

Hope your weekend was great!

❤️Sara

Courtney Is: Loving Winter

Most people don't like winter. It's a time of extra clothing, chilly wind, chapped lips, and grey skies. Not me. I LOVE winter!

I love the crunch of the frozen ground beneath my favorite pair of boots.

I love mittens.

I love naked trees.

I love being ushered into the coffee shop by a frigid wind, then wrapping my frozen fingers around my gingerbread latte.

I love winter skies with leaden clouds that randomly sprinkle snow.

I love sweaters, Christmas, and cookies.

I love winter.

What's your favorite season?

November: Concerts, Coffee, and Leaves

What were some highlights for you in November?

Sara and kicked off the month by attending Toby Mac's Hits Deep Tour. It was such a fun evening!

Artists that performed were Jamie Grace (above), Colton Dixon, Capital Kings,
Chris August, Mandisa . . .

. . . Brandon Heath — one of my favorites!  . . .

. . . and Toby Mac & the Diverse City Band.

It was an evening full of dance-until-you-drop music and confetti cannons! You cannot have a bad evening when confetti cannons are involved — trust me on this.

We got to meet Brandon Heath, Jamie Grace, and Mandisa after the show.
An unexpected and awesome way to end the night!

Gingerbread Lattes have returned! Yummy to drink, and pretty to look at!
What's your favorite winter drink?

We put our Christmas tree up. I know it was early! But Thanksgiving was late this year, and I wanted to enjoy my tree!

Meet Hector, guardian of the candy canes. He has a pretty mean 'stache.

Fall brought some gorgeous shades of red this year . . .

. . . as well as some beautiful photo opportunities.

I had a lovely Thanksgiving, and a November full of fun times.
How about you?

Sara's September

Wow you guys. It's the end of September. Like. It's October. Crazy!

I know I've completed neglected the blog the past month, and I have no excuse for it. I've been working a lot lately, but that's not really your problem, is it?

have managed to take some pictures through out the month though, so I thought I'd share them with you. Let you know what I've been up to (not that it's much).

September 1 started out the month and was also my birthday!

The AMAZING package of 25 gifts for my 25th!

Of course, we had to celebrate with cake!

Whenever I make a special sushi run, it's necessary to also run to Flavor and pick up some cupcakes.

Introducing Ghost, our neighborhood friend.

In downtown Baltimore, it's normal for a gorilla to offer you a banana while driving to an Orioles baseball game.

It's also pretty normal to see people of all sorts when there's a convention in town.

A momentous ocassion - a black iced coffee. How I've grown from my mochas...

I finally got rid of my summer highlights! I've washed a lot of the black out already, but it feels good to be dark for the winter.

Sushi and Starbucks... How preppy of me.

Again, living in Baltimore, you see some things. Not necessarily the safest, like this "ice cream truck," but still makes for interesting stories.

And another cupcake. I'm not ashamed.

So, with the holidays coming up soon (sooner than you think!) I certainly hope and will try my hardest to post more. Pictures, food posts, fun DIY projects, whatever!

Until next time,
♥Sara

By the way--- is anyone else loving iTunes Radio?? Probably my favorite feature of iOS 7...

Sara's Week

Hi, guys! So wow. I haven't posted in about a month. I'm ashamed.

I wish I had a reason to give you that would make this somewhat more acceptable, but I don't. There's life of course - work, my so-called social life, being extremely exhausted from staying up late playing Plants vs. Zombies.... You know, the usual.

I haven't had a lot of time to work on fun projects or go on fun trips. Instead, I've been trying to snap pictures and really take advantage of "iPhone-ography." I don't have a really fancy-smancy camera and I tend to leave my point and shoot at home, and since I have my iPhone with me at all times, it's pretty convenient.

I usually take pictures of the obvious - things I think are cute or funny, events and people I want to remember - but lately I've been trying to take pictures of things that are pretty normal, and make them unique and fun.

So, I apologize for going MIA and I hope to start posting more regularly again. And I'd like to start updating you guys on random things through pictures - whatever is going on at the moment, or whatever I think is worthy of sharing.

We also have an Instagram that we put more pictures on, so you guys can check that out too! And please share them with us! I definitely love looking at pictures!

Until next time (hopefully sooner than later!),
♥Sara
